Woodcuts

Woodcuts

Woodcuts  are made from multi-colored carved relief blocks, of invented patterns and a mélange of iconography from the ancient past.  Derived from many historical sources, Cycladic art and Greek vases, arranged into a context that at once feel rhythmic and surreal. The theme of the vessel draws on a myriad of icons having cross-cultural significance, which serve as a shared shorthand for the interrelationship of all things.  These images, express the mysterious continuum of the human experience and its connection to the present.
